Family Meat Loaf
|Ground beef chuck||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Quick-cooking rolled oats/1 cup fine dry bread crumbs||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Poultry seasoning||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 Small, finely chopped|
|Catsup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Prepared mustard||1 Teaspoon|
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, rolled oats or crumbs, milk, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, eggs, Worcestershire, and chopped onion.
Put in a loaf pan (4 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches).
Combine the catsup, brown sugar, mustard, and nutmeg.
Spread over the meat loaf.
Bake in a 350° oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
