Deer Meatballs

Ingredients
  Deer/Venison 2 Pound, ground
  Eggs 5
  Grated parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoon
  Bread crumbs 2 Tablespoon
  Sweet basil 1 Teaspoon
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), chopped finely
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shortening 4 Tablespoon
Directions

Combine all ingredients except shortening; mix well.
Shape mixture into balls about 2 inches in diameter.
Fry in hot shortening until brown on all sides and well done.
Serve with catsup or gravy.
