Sauerbraten Meatballs

Ingredients
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Instant beef bouillon 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Raisins 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Gingersnaps 6 , broken into pieces
Directions

Prepare Basic Meatballs.
Combine cooked meatballs and remaining ingredients in large skillet; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove bay leaf.
Nice served with mashed potatoes.
