Meat Ball Soup
|Chopped tomatoes||1 Quart|
|Beef||1 Pound, ground|
|Pork||1 Pound, ground|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Combine water, tomatoes, 2 teaspoons salt, chili powder, and oregano in deep kettle; bring to a boil.
Cook until mixture is reduced to about 6 cups.
Reserve; soak bread in water.
Squeeze dry combine with meats, egg, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper.
Mix; shape into small balls; brown in oil in skillet; add meat balls to soup.
Simmer for 1 hour
