Country Style Meatballs
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground thyme||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Condensed cream of mushroom soup||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Buttermilk||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Soup Can)|
Combine ground beef, rice, salt, pepper and thyme; form into 20 balls.
Brown on all sides in shortening in skillet; pour soup and buttermilk over meat.
Cover; simmer for 30 to 35 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
If sauce becomes too thick, add additional buttermilk.
