Hot Meatball Sandwiches
|Lean ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Lean ground pork||1⁄2 Pound|
|Breadcrumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Spaghetti sauce mix||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Round french rolls||8|
Thoroughly mix the beef, pork, eggs, bread crumbs, the 1/2 cup cheese, parsley, salt, and half the dry sauce mix (about 2 tablespoons).
Using a rounded tablespoon for each, shape meat mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls.
Brown meat balls in the 1 tablespoon butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat, shaking pan to brown meatballs on all sides.
Remove meatballs from pan and keep warm.
In the same pan, prepare remaining sauce mix by blending it with tomato sauce and water; heat until bubbly.
Return meatballs to pan, cover, and cook over low heat about 25 minutes.
Split and butter rolls; wrap in foil and heat in a 350Â° oven about 15 minutes.
Serve meatballs in rolls, allowing 5 to 6 meatballs and a spoonful of sauce for each.
Sprinkle with additional cheese.
