Sweet Sour Meatballs
|Canned pineapple tidbits||8 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Canned meatballs in gravy||1 Pound (1 Can)|
|Canned water chestnuts||5 Ounce, drained and thinly sliced (1 Can)|
|Green pepper||1 , cut into strips|
|Hot cooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Drain pineapple tidbits, reserving syrup.
In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch.
Blend in pineapple syrup, 1/2 cup cold water, vinegar, and soy sauce.
Cook and stir over low heat till mixture thickens.
Carefully stir in meat balls in gravy, water chestnuts, green pepper, and pineapple tidbits.
Heat to boiling.
