Sweet Sour Meatballs
|Canned pineapple chunks||20 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Maple flavored syrup||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Green pepper||1 Large, cut into 3/4 inch pieces|
|Maraschino cherries||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Hot cooked rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
Set pineapple chunks aside.
In saucepan combine reserved pineapple syrup, maple syrup, and vinegar.
Add frozen meatballs; bring to boiling.
Simmer, covered, 15 minutes or till meatballs are hot.
Add drained pineapple, green pepper, and cherries.
Stir together cornstarch and salt.
Stir in water.
Blend into mixture in saucepan.
Cook and stir about 5 minutes or till pepper is almost tender.
