Sweet Sour Meatballs

Ingredients
  Canned pineapple chunks 20 Ounce (1 Can)
  Maple flavored syrup 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Freezer meatballs 20
  Green pepper 1 Large, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
  Maraschino cherries 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cold water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Hot cooked rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
Set pineapple chunks aside.
In saucepan combine reserved pineapple syrup, maple syrup, and vinegar.
Add frozen meatballs; bring to boiling.
Simmer, covered, 15 minutes or till meatballs are hot.
Add drained pineapple, green pepper, and cherries.
Stir together cornstarch and salt.
Stir in water.
Blend into mixture in saucepan.
Cook and stir about 5 minutes or till pepper is almost tender.
