Baked Luncheon Meat Patties

  Canned luncheon meat 12 Ounce
  Soft bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped nuts 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Dry mustard 1 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned pineapple slices 4 (Reserve 1/3 Cup Syrup)
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon

Grind the luncheon meat and combine with the bread crumbs, nuts, egg, and a blend of 2 tea spoons brown sugar, dry mustard, and paprika.
Lay the pineapple slices on the bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish.
Shape meat mixture into 4 patties the same size as the pineapple slices.
Put a patty on each slice.
Mix pineapple syrup and remaining ingredients; spoon over patties.
Bake at 350°F 35 to 40 minutes, basting patties with syrup several times during baking.
