How To: Make Pan Gravy
|Drippings||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Turkey broth/Chicken broth||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Salt and pepper||To Taste|
1. In a roasting pan, pour the drippings and add in the flour. Whisk over medium – low heat for a few minutes.
2. Increase heat and gradually pour the broth, stir continuously until it reaches a boil. Cook for 2 – 4 minutes until thickened.
3. Season with salt and pepper, mix well.
4. Pour the gravy over the turkey and serve.
When you roast the turkey, allow it to rest for 20 minutes to get most of the drippings.
Using a gravy separator divide the juices from the fats and use it for making gravy.
