Mozzarella Meat Whirl
|Ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Soft bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Dried parsley flakes||1 Teaspoon|
|Catsup||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, mustard, pep- per and salt; pat into 10 x 14-inch rectangle on waxed paper.
Place cheese slices on beef mixture; sprinkle with parsley.
Roll jelly roll fashion; start at short end and lift paper with 1 hand.
Press ends to seal.
Transfer to shallow baking dish, seam side down.
Combine catsup, 3/4 cup water and Worces- tershire sauce; pour over beef.
Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes, basting frequently; serve with sauce.
