Chestnut And Sausage Meat Stuffing
|Canned whole chestnuts||15 1⁄2 Ounce, drained and finely chopped (1 can, 440 gram)|
|Fresh white breadcrumbs||4 Ounce (100 gram)|
|Pork sausage meat||1⁄2 Pound (225 gram)|
|Butter||2 Ounce (50 gram)|
|Celery stalk||1 , chopped|
|Onion||1 , peeled and chopped|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
1 In a bowl, put the chestnuts along with the breadcrumbs and sausagemeat.
2 Stir well to mix.
3 In a pan, melt the butter.
4 Add in the celery and onion and fry gently until soft.
5 Add to the bowl along with salt and pepper to taste.
6 Mix in the beaten egg to bind the mixture.
7 Quickly cool the mixture.
8 Transfer the cooled mixture to a rigid container.
9 Seal the conatiner, label and freeze.
10 Thaw in the refrigerator over-overnight.
11 Use like the fresh stuffing.
