Fried Meat Turnovers
|Savory ground beef||500 Gram (2 cups 1 pound)|
|Flour||3⁄5 Gram (3 cups)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||125 Gram (1/2 cup)|
|Milk||166 Milliliter (2/3 cup)|
1. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Melt the butter and pour into the flour with milk and mix to make a firm dough. Roll out thinly. Cut into rounds about 4 inch (10 cm). Brush edges with milk or water and place a tablespoon of meat mixture into the center of each round. Fold over and press the edges to seal completely.
2. Deep fry in hot oil 3 or 4 at a time for 1 minute turning once to brown evenly. Lift out and drain and serve hot.
