Indoor Outdoor Kabobs
|Dry onion soup mix||1 1⁄2 Ounce (1 envelope or can)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Catsup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Salad oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||2 Tablespoon|
|Bottled hot pepper sauce||To Taste|
|Round steak||1 Pound, cut in 1 inch cubes|
|Potatoes||4 Medium, partially cooked and quartered|
|Instant non seasoned meat tenderizer||1 Teaspoon|
|Green peppers||2 , cut into large pieces|
For sauce, combine first 9 ingredients with several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat, simmer 20 minutes.
Then add meat and potatoes; stir to coat.
Marinate 2 to 3 hours.
Remove meat; tenderize according to label directions.
Thread on skewers with vegetables.
Broil 5 inches from heat about 15 minutes; brush with sauce occasionally, turning once.
Heat extra sauce to pass.
