Here comes an easy Turkey gravy for holidays. Enjoy!
Finely diced onion | 3 Tablespoon | |
Finely diced celery | 2 Tablespoon | |
Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm) , finely diced | |
Chopped thyme | 1 Tablespoon | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Olive oil/Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
All purpose flour | 4 Tablespoon | |
Poultry dripping | 4 Tablespoon (from a cooked Chicken or Turkey if available) | |
Low sodium chicken stock | 2 1/2 Cup (40 tbs) | |
Poultry seasoning | To Taste (Unsalted) | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Pepper | To Taste | |
All purpose seasoning | To Taste (Grand Diamond) |
MAKING:
Slightly warm stock in a saucepan.
In a medium skillet, heat butter and oil.
Add diced onions, celery, thyme, garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Add flour and saute until browned.
Whisk in stock slowly until gravy turns smooth.
Allow to simmer and add seasonings to taste. Stir well.
