  Arbi 500 Gram
  Tamarind 1
  Salt To Taste
  Coriander 1 Teaspoon, chopped
  Cumin seeds 2 Teaspoon
  Bishops weed 1 Teaspoon
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Asafoetida 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Poppy seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Oil 2 Teaspoon

Cook the coclocasia in plenty of water till soft.
Leave to cool, peel and slice into thick roundels.
Soak the tamarind in a cup of water.
Heat the oil in a thick bottomed pan and place the cumin in it.
When the cumin begins to move around, add the rest of the seasoning ingredients ,and saute for 30 seconds.
Add the tamarind extract and salt and bring to a boil.
Finally add the sliced any and mix well.
Cook on a low flame till the tamarind extract turns to a thick gravy.
A Check salt and add if required.
Stir occasionally to prevent the arbi sticking to the pan.
