|Potatoes||6 Medium, peeled and cubed|
|Ground cumin seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ginger piece||1⁄2 Inch|
|Coriander leaves||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1 handful)|
Grind garlic, ginger, chillies, coriander leaves and onions to a paste.
Heat 3 tblsps oil and put in 1/2 tsp cumin seeds.
When it stops popping, add the tomatoes and fry till soft.
Put in the potatoes.
Mix well and cover with 1 cup water.
Cook till tender and dry.
You can garnish the dish with crisply fried onions, fried cashewnuts and raisins if you like.
