Masala Yam

Ingredients
  Yam 1⁄2 Kilogram, peeled and chopped (Suran)
  Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Finely sliced onion 1 Large
  Curry leaves 4
  Garam masala powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Onion seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Finely chopped green chilies 3
  Crushed garlic flakes 4 Large
  Chopped coriander 2 Tablespoon, mixed with mint
  Chopped mint 2 Tablespoon, mixed with coriander
Directions

Heat oil, fry onion seeds, garlic and curry leaves till light brown.
Add onions and fry light brown.
Add in yam, salt and 1 cup hot water.
Cover pan and cook on a slow fire till suran is done and water dry.
Mix in the green chillies, mint and coriander.
Sprinkle garam masala on top whilst serving.
