|Marshmallows||1⁄2 Pound (About 2 1/2 Dozen)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Crisp rice cereal||5 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Package)|
Heat butter and marshmallows in top part of double boiler over boiling water, until melted.
Stir until blended; then add vanilla.
Put rice cereal in buttered bowl, and slowly pour on marshmallow mixture, while tossing lightly with fork.
Press into buttered, shallow pan 10" x 10".
Chill until firm; when cool, cut into bars or squares.
