Frozen Valentine Rounds
|Canned fruit cocktail||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs) (1 can, No. 2 1/2)|
|Lemon flavored gelatin||3 Ounce (1 package)|
|Hot water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Maraschino cherry syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Cream cheese||6 Ounce (2 packages, 3-ounce each)|
|Mayonnaise/Salad dressing||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Tiny marshmallows||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Drained quartered maraschino cherries||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Heavy cream||1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped|
|Red food coloring||3 Drop (Few drops)|
|Gelatin heart cutouts||12|
Drain fruit cocktail, reserving 1 cup syrup.
Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add reserved fruit-cocktail syrup, maraschino-cherry syrup, and lemon juice.
Chill till partially set.
Soften cream cheese; add mayonnaise and beat smooth.
Add to gelatin mixture, mixing well.
Stir in fruit cocktail, marshmallows, and cherries.
Fold in whipped cream.
Tint pink with red food coloring.
Pour into two No.
2 or 2 1/2 cans.
Freeze several hours or overnight.
Use can opener to cut around bottom of can.
Push salad out.
Slice and place on lettuce.
Top with Gelatin Heart Cutouts.
