Apple Marmalade

Ingredients
  Orange 1 Medium
  Apples 6 Medium, coarsely chopped (peeled, cored,)
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Lemon juice 3 Tablespoon
  Sugar 5 Cup (80 tbs)
Directions

Quarter unpeeled orange.
Remove seeds.
Thinly slice orange.
In an 8- to 10-quart kettle or Dutch oven combine orange slices, apples, water, and lemon juice.
Bring mixture to boiling.
Reduce heat; simmer for about 10 minutes or till apples are tender.
Add sugar.
Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
Continue cooking and stirring till thickened and clear (candy thermometer registers 220°F).
Remove from heat.
Skim off foam with a metal spoon.
Pour at once into hot, sterilized half-pint jars or glasses.
Seal the jars with metal lids and screwbands; seal the glasses with paraffin or Snowdrift Paraffin .
