Simple Orange Marmalade
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||2 Teaspoon|
|Jelling mix||2 Teaspoon (slimset)|
Peel the orange and chop the peel into small slivers.
Pour the water in medium saucepan; add the slivers.
Bring to the boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Squeeze the orange; pour the orange juice into a measuring cup.
Add the orange peel, the cooking liquid and enough water to make 1 cup (250 mL).
Pour the mixture back into the saucepan.
Using a potato masher or wire whisk, add the jelling mix and sugar replacement, stirring until dissolved.
Place the saucepan over high heat and bring to the boil; reduce heat but keep boiling and stirring for 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to rest to make sure it is going to jell; or pour into a jam jar or small bowl and allow to completely set.
