|Onions||3 Large, quartered|
|Carrots||6 Medium, cut in chunks|
|Garlic||3 Clove (15 gm), minced|
|Cooking oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Tomatoes||168 Ounce (canned)|
Place onions in blender container; cover with water.
Cover; blend till chopped.
Drain; set onions aside.
Repeat with carrots.
In large kettle cook onions, carrots, and garlic in oil till tender.
Place tomatoes in blender, one can at a time; blend till chopped.
Add to vegetables.
Stir in sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Boil gently, uncovered, till of desired consistency, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring near end of cooking time.
Pass through food mill.
Cover and refrigerate or freeze.
