Maple Pecan Squares
|Sifted all purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs) (robin hood)|
|Brown sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Maple syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), softened|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Pecan halves||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||2 Tablespoon (robin hood)|
Preheat oven to 350Â° F. (moderate).
Rub flour, sugar and butter together.
Press mixture firmly into 7" x 11" pan.
Bake at 350Â° F. for 5 minutes.
Combine sugar and syrup.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Pour over beaten eggs, stirring well.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Spread over partially baked dough.
Bake at 450Â° F. for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350Â° F. and bake for 20 minutes.
Cool and cut in squares.
