|Unflavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), broken|
|Eggs||2 , separated|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Boil brown sugar and 1 1/2 cups water together for 10 minutes.
Soften gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water; add to hot brown sugar mixture, stirring until dis- solved.
Chill until firm.
Break con- gealed mixture into pieces with fork; fold into stiffly beaten egg whites.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, milk, vanilla and salt in double boiler.
Cook over boiling water until custard coats spoon, stirring constantly.
Spoon egg white mixture into 6 dessert cups.
Top each serving with custard.
