Sausage Macaroni Skillet
|Bulk pork sausage||1⁄2 Pound|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|Chopped onion||2 Tablespoon (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can Of 8 Ounce)|
|Elbow macaroni||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chili powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dairy sour cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In skillet lightly brown the sausage.
Add green pepper and onion.
Cook till vegetables are tender.
Drain off fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, macaroni, sugar, chili powder, 3/4 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Cover; simmer till macaroni is done, about 20 minutes.
Blend in sour cream.
Heat through but do not boil.
Makes 2 servings.
