Most of us grew up on mac cheese from a box. Its what you could afford to make in college and most likely, was all you knew how to make other than ramen noodles.
Well, Dudes... Watch as Sean and Adam take that oh-so-familiar box and make it majorly manly. And it tastes good too, unless you completely mess up the recipe.
Macaroni and cheese mix | 8 Ounce
Shredded jack cheese/Shredded pepper jack cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Bread crumbs | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Parmesan cheese | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Unsalted butter | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Milk | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Dried parsley | 1 Teaspoon
Garlic powder | 1 Teaspoon
Black pepper | 1 Teaspoon
Kosher salt | To Taste | |
Bacon | 2 Tablespoon , diced |
GETTING READY
1. Pre-heat your oven to broil or maximum heat.
MAKING
2. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. While the mac is boiling away, get the rest of your ingredients together.
3. Drain the mac, then add in everything to the pot, including the package of powdered cheese, but not (don’t screw this up) the parmesan, bread crumbs and bacon. Gently stir to combine. Seriously, you don’t want to schmush up the macaroni too much, Dude.
4. Pour the whole shebang into a casserole dish, top with the bread crumbs, then parmesan cheese and bacon (unless you’re a veggie like Adam).
5. Put under the broiler or in your oven (on the lowest rack) for about 5 or so minutes until a light crust forms.
SERVING
6. Voila…you’ve made some super manly Mac & Cheese. Serve right away.
