Thick and Rich Macaroni and Cheese
|Elbow macaroni||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Finely chopped onion||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Green pepper||1 Large, finely chopped|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All-purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Evaporated milk||13 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||16 Ounce, divided (4 Cups)|
|Processed cheese||8 Ounce, cubed (1 Package)|
|Chopped pimento||2 Tablespoon, drained|
|Paprika||To Taste (As Required)|
1)Preheat oven at 350°.
2)Cook macaroni and keep it aside.
2)In a big saucepan add onion, green pepper and flour in butter and saute till the mixture is smooth and tender.
3)Slowly add milk to the mixture and cook till it turns thick.
4) In addition to this add cheddar cheese, process cheese, pepper and macaroni and stir the mixture till smooth.
5) Pour this mixture into a lightly greased 3-quart casserole and bake it at 350° for atleast 20 minutes.
6)Sprinkle the mixture with cheddar cheese, pimiento and paprika, bake for more 5 minutes.
7)Serve this delicious thick and rich macaroni and cheese with some sauce.
