1890 Chicken and Macaroni Supper
|Boiling salted water||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Cooked chicken||4 Cup (64 tbs), cut into bite size pieces|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chicken broth||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Half and half||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Parsley sprigs||4 (For Garnish)|
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until almost tender, about 12 minutes; drain.
Place 1/3 of macaroni on bottom of 2-quart lightly-greased casserole.
Top with 1/2 the chicken pieces; dot chicken with 1/2 the butter or margarine, salt and pepper and 1/2 the chicken broth.
Repeat layers, ending with remaining 1/3 of macaroni on top.
Pour cream over all; bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until bubbly.
