Baked Macaroni With Tomatoes

Ingredients
  Macaroni 1⁄4 Pound
  Butter/Margarine/fat/salad oil 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Minced green pepper 1 Tablespoon
  Bottled thick meat sauce 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Canned tomatoes 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper To Taste
  Processed american cheddar cheese 1⁄8 Pound, grated to make 1/2 cup
Directions

Cook and drain macaroni as in Boiled Macaroni, then arrange in a 1 qt casserole.
Melt butter in a skillet, add the onion, green pepper, and meat sauce, and simmer until partially tender—about 5 min.
Then add tomatoes, salt, and pepper and heat.
Pour over macaroni, toss well to mix; then sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Bake in moderately hot oven of 400°F for about 20 min or until cheese melts.
