Macaroni Casserole Italiano
|Spaghetti sauce mix||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Canned tomato paste||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Hot italian sausage||1⁄2 Pound, parboiled 4 minutes and sliced|
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Elbow macaroni||8 Ounce (Uncooked)|
|Parmesan cheese||1 Tablespoon, grated|
Blend sauce mix, tomato paste and water in 2-quart saucepan; set aside.
Brown sausage in skillet; add to sauce.
Brown beef with onion and salt in sausage drippings, stirring frequently.
Stir into sauce and bring to a boil.
Simmer, covered, 25 to 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
Combine with meat sauce in 2-quart casserole; sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake, uncovered, at 375° 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
