Quick Meal Macaroni

  Celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), finley chopped
  Green pepper 2 Teaspoon, chopped
  Onion 2 Teaspoon, chopped
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Grated sharp american cheese 3⁄4 Pound (1 1/2 Cups)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Worcestershire sauce 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Prepared mustard 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Macaroni 1⁄2 Pound, cooked
  Thinly sliced cooked ham/Dried beef, frizzled 1⁄2 Pound

Saute vegetables lightly in butter in top of double boiler for 5 minutes over direct heat.
Remove vegetables and blend flour into butter remaining in pan.
Add milk gradually and cook until mixture thickens.
Stir constantly to keep smooth.
Add cheese, salt, Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
Place over boiling water and cook slowly until cheese melts.
Stir occasionally.
Drain freshly cooked macaroni, rinse with boiling water.
Drain well, turn onto hot platter.
Top with sauteed vegetables, pour hot cheese sauce over all.
Garnish with hot frizzled ham.
