Deluxe Macaroni And Cheese
|Small elbow macaroni||8 Ounce|
|Large curd cottage cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , lightly beaten|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Dijon mustard/Prepared spicy brown mustard||2 Teaspoon|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||10 Ounce (2 1/2 Cup)|
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, salt, pepper, mustard, and 2 cups of the Cheddar cheese.
3. Drain the macaroni thoroughly in a colander, and toss with the cheese mixture in the bowl. Spread the mixture evenly in a buttered 8"x8"x2" baking dish. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of Cheddar cheese, and bake, uncovered, for 30 to 35 minutes, or until set. If the macaroni and cheese are browning too quickly, cover with aluminum foil after 20 minutes of baking.
