Ingredients
  Unflavored gelatin 1 Tablespoon
  Cold water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Hot water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Diced celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Diced sweet pickle 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Grated american cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Diced cooked ham 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Soften gelatin in cold water.
Add hot water and salt and stir until dissolved.
Add vinegar.
Chill until the mixture is the con- sistency of unbeaten egg white.
Mix in celery and pickle; divide mixture into 2 parts; to one add the grated cheese, to the other the diced ham.
Turn ham mixture into loaf pan and chill until almost firm; add cheese mixture.
Chill until firm.
Unmold on crjsp greens and serve with tomato wedges, parsley potatoes and asparagus.
