Ingredients
  Self-raising flour 12 Ounce
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 2 Ounce
  Dried fruit 4 Ounce
  Syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Black treacle 1 Tablespoon
  Milk 6 Ounce (1/4 Pint And 4 Tablespoons)
Directions

1. Sieve the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Add the dried fruit.
3. Melt the syrup and treacle in the milk and stir into the dry ingredients.
4. Pour into a greased 1-lb. loaf tin and bake in a moderate oven (350°F - Gas Mark 4).
5. Serve sliced, spread with butter;
