Orange And Date Tea Loaf
|Sifted all purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Sliced pitted dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Candied orange peel||3 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Add dates and orange peel.
Combine egg and milk; stir into dry ingredients.
Pour into well-greased loaf pan (9x5x3 inches).
Bake in preheated moderate oven (325°F.) for 1 hour.
Cool on rack; wrap in wax paper and store for 24 hours before slicing.
