Date & Walnut Loaf

Ingredients
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped dates 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soda bicarbonate 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chopped walnuts 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Directions

Mix and sift together the flour and salt.
Stir the sugar into the boiling water and when dissolved, add the dates.
Simmer till these are soft, then add the butter and stir till this has melted.
Remove from heat, add the lemon juice and allow to cool off a little; then stir in the Bi-carb.
Stir in the sifted dry ingredi- ents, adding the chopped walnuts.
Bake in a greased and paper-lined loaf pan for 45 mins.
at 325° F.

you say add the flour - what quantity?? nothing is mentioned in the ingredients about flour
