Apple and Spice Loaf

Ingredients
  Apple juice 500 Milliliter
  Granulated sugar 375 Milliliter
  Oil 250 Milliliter
  Cinnamon 15 Milliliter
  Cloves 4 Milliliter
  Nutmeg 5 Milliliter
  Raisin 250 Milliliter
  Apples 375 Milliliter, pared, cored, shredded
  Pastry flour 1 Liter
  Baking powder 10 Milliliter
  Pecans 250 Milliliter, broken
Directions

Simmer the apple juice, sugar, oil, spices, raisins and apples over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
Blend in the flour, baking powder and nuts.
Mix thoroughly.
Pour into a 10" x 4" (25 x 10 cm) greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours in a preheated 350°F (180°C) oven.
Cool 15 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack.
