Date And Nut Loaf

Ingredients
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dates 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Baking soda 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1.In a slow cooker, place metal rack or trivet.
2.Take a 6 cup mold or baking dish and grease.
MAKING
3.In a bowl, put dates and add boiling water and leave it for 5-10 minutes.
4.Put sugar, egg, baking soda, salt, vanilla, oil , flour and walnuts in the bowl and stir.
5.Put the mixture into the molds and cover with foil.
6.Place the molds on the rack and close the cooker.
7.Cook for 21/2- 3 hrs onHIGH.
8.Once done, let the loaf stand for 10 minutes on room temperature.
SERVING
9.Serve warm.
