Oven Baked Spiced Meat Loaf
|Ground pork||1 Pound|
|Stale bread slice||3 , crusts removed, soaked in a little milk (Use Homemade-Type)|
|Milk||2 Fluid Ounce (For Soaking Bread)|
|Egg||1 , lightly beaten|
|Grated nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 , finely chopped|
|Leek greens||1 Tablespoon, finely chopped|
|Ketjap manis||2 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated gouda cheese/Grated cheddar cheese||3 Tablespoon|
|Dry bread crumbs||3 Tablespoon|
|Chopped fresh parsley||2 Tablespoon|
Combine the pork in a bowl with the bread, egg, salt, pepper, nutmeg, cumin, ginger, onion, leek and ketjap benteng manis, and mix it thoroughly with two forks.
Butter a 1-quart [1-liter] enameled cast-iron casserole.
Fill it with the spiced ground meat and press the meat down lightly with a fork.
Sprinkle the surface with the mixed cheese, bread crumbs and parsley.
Spread slivers of butter on the surface and bake, uncovered, in a preheated 375° F. [190° C] oven for the first 10 minutes.
Lower the temperature to 325° F. [160° C] and bake for 30 minutes longer, or until the meat loaf is done and nicely browned on top.
