Veal Vegetable Loaf

Ingredients
  Ground lean veal 1 Pound
  Low fat cottage cheese 8 Ounce (1 Carton)
  Carrots 3 Medium, pared and grated
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Egg 1
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Basil leaf 1⁄2 Teaspoon, crumbled
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Mix veal, cottage cheese, carrots, onion, egg, salt, basil and pepper in a large bowl. Shape into a loaf in a shallow baking pan.
2. Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 50 minutes, or until firm and lightly browned on the top. Cut into 12 slices.
