|Minced celery||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Finely minced green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Finely minced onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Instant chicken broth and seasoning mix||1 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Packet, Regular Strength)|
|Ground beef||2 Pound|
|Unsweetened applesauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Bread crumbs||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Catsup||1 1⁄3 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon + 1 Teaspoon)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
In a small saucepan, combine celery, green pepper, onion, water and broth mix; cook until celery is tender.
Transfer to a medium mixing bowl; add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Divide evenly into 2 small loaves; place on a rack in a baking pan.
Bake at 375° for about 45 minutes or until firm.
Each serving provides: 1/2 vegetable, 20 calories optional exchange, 3 protein and 1/2 bread.
