Have 1 pound liver sliced 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
In large skillet, cook and stir 2 cups thinly sliced onion in 3 tablespoons butter or margarine until tender.
Remove from skillet; keep warm.
Panfry liver as directed above.
Add onions for the last minute of cooking.
