|Onion||1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced|
|Beef liver slices||4 , cut 1 inch thick (about 1 pound)|
|Lemon juice||2 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
In skillet cook onion in hot shortening till tender but not brown; remove from skillet.
Add liver; sprinkle with some salt and pepper.
Cook 3 minutes at medium heat; turn.
Return onion to skillet; cook 3 minutes more.
Transfer liver and onion to serving platter.
Blend lemon juice and Worcestershire into pan drippings; pour over liver.
