Party Liver Plate

Ingredients
  Chicken liver/Calf liver / beef liver / pork liver 1 Pound
  Lard/Butter / chicken fat 1⁄2 Pound
  Minced onion 2 Tablespoon
  Bay leaf 1⁄2
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Rut liver through grinder twice, using finest knife.
Add lard and seasonings, mix well and put through grinder again.
Pat firmly into small bowls.
Cover with foil, fasten tightly, and steam over hot water for 1-1/2 hours.
Remove foil, cool and chill.
Serve with crackers, Melba toast or assorted chips, if desired.
