Traditional Liver And Onions

Ingredients
  Calf s liver slices 6 (3/4 inch thick)
  Salt 1 Dash
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Bread crumbs 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (toasted)
  Onions 3 Large, sliced
  Shortening 3 Tablespoon, melted
Directions

1) Lightly season the liver with salt and pepper, then coat in the bread crumbs.
2) Saute the onions in shortening until brown. Place the seasoned liver in onions and cook for 5 minutes on each side.
