Braised Calf's Liver

Ingredients
  Calf liver 1 3⁄4 Pound
  Lard 4 1⁄2 Ounce
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Onions 7 Ounce
  Ground black pepper 1 Pinch
  Marjoram 1 Pinch
  Paprika 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Trim the calf's liver and cut it into slices.
Fry the sliced onions in lard, till light yellow, add pepper and marjoram.
Fry the liver rapidly, stirring all the while.
Then add the paprika.
Salt just before dishing and garnish with mashed potatoes flavoured with fried onions.
