Peas And Lettuce
|Green onions||6 , thinly sliced|
|Head of lettuce||1 Small, shredded|
|Ground pepper||To Taste|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Thyme sprig||1 Teaspoon, dried|
|Parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), minced|
Heat the butter in a heavy saucepan which has a tight cover.
Add the green onions and the shredded lettuce.
Stir to coat the greens with the butter.
Add all the other ingredients except the parsley.
Cover tightly and simmer over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes or until the peas are tender.
Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
