|Lettuce head/4 medium bunches endive||2 Small|
|Butter/Margarine / salad oil / olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Carrot||1 , scraped and sliced|
|Chopped onion||4 Tablespoon|
|Chicken bouillon cube||1⁄2 (Or 1/2 Cup Canned)|
1. Wash the lettuce, or endive. Cut through the lettuce center and wash thoroughly.
2 Heat the oil or other fat, put the lettuce, or endive into it, place the carrot, onion and parsley on the lettuce, cover tightly and simmer over low heat 5 minutes.
3. Add the bouillon, cover and simmer 5 minutes more. Remove the lid and simmer until nearly dry.
