Peas With Lettuce
|Unshelled peas/2 packages (10 ounce each) frozen tiny peas, thawed||2 1⁄2 Pound, thawed|
|Shredded iceberg lettuce||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Minced parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Prepare and boil or steam fresh peas
Melt butter in a wide frying pan over high heat.
Add lettuce and cook, stirring, until wilted (2 to 3 minutes).
Immediately stir in drained peas (or thawed peas), parsley, sugar, and nutmeg.
Cook until juices are boiling and peas are heated through; drain.
Season to taste with salt.
